Organizing Committee

Committee Co-Chairs: Heather Lee and Stephen Von Sychowski

The COPE 378 Organizing Committee was established in 2011 with the following purposes:

1. Create an ongoing resource of volunteer activists to assist where and when the union needs special organizing efforts on short notice
2. Provide training and activities for union activists to learn and improve the union's expertise in new state-of-the-art social media techniques and member-to-member communcations.
3. Be at the call of the President to participate with any other committees of the union as well as with any bargaining committees from any bargianing units.
4. Recruit and engage new activists and staff to work together as team members.
5. Provide strike support activities assisting picket lines and creating events to help engage members in their struggles (both internally with members and externally in the general labour movement).
6. Help to keep organized members engaged with their chosen union for longer periods of time during difficult organizing efforts.
7. Provie more inter-bargaining unit contact and cohesion for the union and all of its activists.
